that they learned what
was taught."
Eric Jensen
At Joho, we take your learning very seriously. Not only is learning important to us, but it is very important that you retain the information that you have learned in hopes to one day teach someone else.
Joho has developed a program for individuals seeking to take classes, but are unable to pay for them.
Participants are required to volunteer for a cause in exchange for the amount of time spent in the participants course of choice.
As an example, if you would like to learn how to design a greeting card, you will be given the opportunity to design the greeting card for a 1 hour class, if you volunteer for 1 hour giving your time to the community and helping others. Joho stands for Joy of Helping Others, and we hope that you will embody the true meaning of putting self aside, to help someone else while educating yourself at the same time.

Chapter 2 - New LMS Features
As educators it becomes an obligation to search and deliver innovative Learning Management Systems to students. While researching new LMS features there are many which have developed in order to allow student to computer interactivity to emerge into better learning environments. From a corporate training aspect, there are also LMS for corporations and organizations used to teach and train staff.
Learning Management Systems for corporate training are designed to enable the company or organization to properly manage continued learning initiatives, thus allowing results to be measured and modifications to be made. LMS for corporations are the best way to gauge your team.
Some of the new or advanced Learning Management System features are:
E-learning and/or online training
Can be used in a corporate or educational organization to teach new aspects of business, and introduce a learning environment conducive to discovering ways of improvement within the organization.
Built-in Resources for Teachers
Some of the best built in resources include a library of curriculum for educators to use at their disposal. The resources allow educators to pull from different lessons, which other educators post in an interactive online library.
Manageable Digital Content
Another way for educators to save time in the classroom is through digital content. Teachers have the ability to upload, manage and deliver any type of digital content that can be tagged for finding and locating files in the future.
Larger Bandwidth
Since files are becoming larger, and content sharing has become more of a necessity, Some online LMS systems are equipped with a higher media bandwidth and support video content as well as speeds performance and download.
Live Media Interaction
With live media interaction, teachers have the ability to interact synchronously with Their students. Teachers can answer questions, develop relationships, show slideshows and video to build upon their lessons.
SCORM within LMS
Some new LMS systems feature a built-in SCORM feature. SCORM (which stands for Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), allows web-based e learning to track and manage online courseware.
Group Discussion and Mentor Capability
Interactivity between students is also important to building a better learning environment. New LMS systems will allow students the ability to critique the work of others, share information and insight on projects, classrooms, teachers and more.
Session Recording and Archiving
Due to various schedules of students enrolled in e-learning programs; session recording is another important piece to new LMS systems. Allowing teaching sessions to become archived for future listening and learning may ensure greater participation and retention.
Integrated Blogging
A LMS feature, which also enables interactivity between teacher and student, is the ability to have built-in blogging features within the LMS system. Allowing students to blog for assignments creates a more manageable system for teacher and student alike.
RSS Feeds
Another LMS feature would be to have built in RSS feeds within wiki posts or discussion boards, so that when an instructor for instance, updates assignments the student would automatically receive them via email or on a cellular device.
Complete Mobile Access
One of the best features to new LMS systems, is the ability to log into any LMS system via your mobile device. Since many cellular phones are equipped with wifi, this allows students to log in to check assignments in any location.
Other features which should be developed from a instructor prospective is the ability to receive consistent feedback throughout the course for improvement from students. If educators were consistently aware of how to improve lessons and assess how the students are learning, they will be able to create and develop new ways to keep up with changing LMS features and trends.
How can LCMS content production and learning object repositories help schools and students?
By allowing educators to become taught of upcoming LCMS features on a consistent basis, it allows teachers to become more in tune with their students. Various educational facilities are behind in how they teach students, and have little funding to completely dive into learning different ways to reach students the best way they can. In order for youth to continue to be advanced in their learning, as educators we must create and innovate to provide resources and information in education. Times are changing, years are passing, and students are learning at a rapid pace. We as educators are on the verge of meeting students where they are, and it starts with our method of delivery.
